Capetown 5/12

Well I'm here. 2 days in london doing all manner of fun things. I tried to do something nice for the people I was staying with and buy them all bagels with cream cheese. Well somehow there was a failure to communicate so I got a bunch of bagels with egg salad on them. Kinda sad considering both of us were speaking english. so 12 hours and no sleep later here I in cape town. I'm really really jet lagged right now so I don't think I'm going to do much for the next day or so. Just get on my feet and get adjusted to the time. I'll come back later and post some stories/musings from london.

Can't wait to hear about London and Capetown. So your time zone is 7 hours ahead of Boulder's. Have a good rest. How is the hostel? ... Mom

Walker,
I almost forgot about this woman who was in my Nieman program, but saw her last weekend at Harvard. She has a great family -- two boys, Luyanda, who's 9; and Lesedi, who's 5 or 6. They loved Delta and Bosco. By all means look her up if you need anything or even if you don't! Take care,
Carol

Mom, when you post a comment, select the 'other' category and just put your name. Moms shouldn't be anonymous.

Walker!
I had no idea that you left so soon, this blog site that you have going is pretty rad, I'll check it and write you every couple of days. Strange hours with no sleep is a real pain some times,I feel for you. I know though that you get less sleep than most, so I think that you'll adapt well. Besides less sleep just makes you a little wierder, which seems to be a normality for you. I'm curious about africa and what you will be doing there, so put stuff on this site when you can. My next week shouldn't be too hard, its the first week where I will have no tests. Point being, I'll have time to email. I am pretty sure I remember you saying that you would be back in july, but if you are not I may be living in New York when you get back (prototype training). I hope your travels go well and you have a blast, also I say hi to Liza if that worked out that you see her over there. Thanks for goin' out and keepin the scene ALIIIIEEEEVE!

Correction. You are 8 hours ahead of Mountain Time. Sorry we missed you yesterday. We were exchanging tile so we could proceed on the floor project. Did you climb Table Mountain or go up via the cablecar? Did you get to the Cape of Good Hope? Are you still in Capetown? What kinds of interactions are you having with South Africans and travelers? We eagerly await your next missive. xoxox Mom
